Dr. Pappas
Dr. John Pappas graduated from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha Nebraska in 1997. He followed his education with a General Practice Residency at the prestigious Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he learned advanced techniques in prosthodontics, emergency care, and oral surgery. Dr. Pappas maintains a practice in Phoenix, Arizona, where he focuses on Reconstructive and Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Pappas is constantly looking for ways to improve the lives of his patients. He has studied the complexities of Aesthetic and TMJ Dentistry under Drs. Chris Stevens and Mark Peck with the Dr. Dick Barnes Group in Sandy Utah, and continues his training under Dr. Frank Spears with the renowned Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is also a member of the Greater Phoenix Implant Study Club, a group dedicated to the art and science of Reconstructive Dentistry utilizing Dental Implant technology.
Dr. Pappas and his team at Arcadia Dental Arts strive daily to enhance the lives of their patients by improving the health and beauty of their smiles.
In his spare time, Dr. Pappas enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also has a passion for fitness, training for and competing in Ironman triathlon.

Melanie Erickson, RDH
Melanie prides herself on the gentle yet thorough care of her patients. She has been providing outstanding health care and education to patients in the Arcadia district since she earned her degree in 1994. Melanie uses state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to ensure the optimal health of her patients. In her spare time Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and children, gardening, and playing volleyball.
Sunshine – Patient Care Coordinator
Sunshine has been working in the dental field since 1998. She is skilled in many aspects of dentistry, but finds the most joy in the friendships that she has developed with all of our patients. She is available to answer questions, arrange appointments, or prepare almost anything that will make your visit with us outstanding. When not at work, Sunshine enjoys time spent with her family, volunteering at her church, drawing and painting.
Christina – Chairside Assistant
Christina was introduced to dentistry by her sister Sunshine, and has been working with us for over 4 years. Christina works closely with Dr. Pappas and is an integral part of our commitment to excellence in patient care. She is super organized and keeps our office running smoothly. Christina has choosen a career in dental care with prerequisite studies on her way to a career in Dental Hygiene. She is an avid photographer and enjoys hiking and spending time with friends.
Suzanne – Chairside Assistant
Suzanne is the most recent addition to our patient care team. She received her dental assistant certification from Phoenix College, and is currently taking classes with aspirations of a career as a Dental Hygienist. Suzanne is a multifaceted member of our staff who assists Dr. Pappas and Melanie, educates and comforts patients, and helps Sunshine with patient care coordination. Away from work she is very busy, but always finds time for travel and fun!
